About PLEX & Dorian
PLEX is a lab notebook for practical research in Python, data and systems — focused on small, reproducible experiments that scale into real solutions.
PLEX stands for Python, Learning, Engineering & eXperiments. It is curated by Dorian Sotpyrc, who works primarily in Python across automation, data infrastructure, analytics, and system design.
The goal of PLEX is to take ideas that usually live in notebooks and whiteboards and turn them into clear, working artefacts: walkthroughs, code, and small tools that others can reuse or extend. Posts are written with an emphasis on reproducibility and honest trade-offs.
Expect topics such as:
- Python for automation, analytics and APIs
- Data pipelines, storage choices and database design
- Economics and econometrics prototyped directly in code
- Security-aware infrastructure and system hardening
- Practical UI and reporting layers for technical work
